Priscilla Schreiber is President of the Governing Board of the Grossmont Union High School District. As senior Board member, she has previously served as both Clerk and Vice President. Being an elected official was never part of Priscilla's plan, however, now as a school board trustee, she is highly effective in representing the values of those who reside in the Grossmont District. As a concerned parent and business owner she understands what it takes to make changes while instilling the traditions of what made this country great. Priscilla has received her certificate from the California School Board Association's “Masters in Governance,” a program designed to support board members and superintendents, in their roles as a governing team. She serves as President of the ROP (Regional Occupation Program) for the Grossmont Union High School District’s JPA/ROP Commission and is a representative to the K-16 Collaborative. She has served on the Curriculum, Finance Audit, and the Race and Human Relations committees. Priscilla is a native of San Diego and moved to the East County in the mid 80’s. After high school, she acquired trade-school certification in construction accounting and business administration. It is in this industry that she met her husband, Charley. They have one daughter, Devon, who graduated from SDSU; married an El Capitan graduate, and serves in the INS/Homeland Security Division, as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer. Priscilla serves on her “Class of 71” Crawford Alumni committee. She was the Board representative to the Bond Executive Committee for the passage of Prop. H, the East county high school facilities bond initiative. She is currently Education Rep. for Women Volunteer's in Politics (VIP's), and is 1st Vice President of the Cajon Valley Business Women's Republican Federated group. Priscilla was honored as "Woman of the Year" in the 77th Assembly District by former Assemblyman Jay La Suer. She was also honored as “Rookie School Board Member for 2003-2004” by the San Diego County School Boards Assoc. and the Assoc. of California School Administrators, Region 18. Priscilla and her husband attend Skyline Church and are active in The Sonshine Haven organization, an after school program and outreach to families in the East County.
