(JHReport) In a year when the majority of Californians are fighting against an organized effort by radicalized gay activists to dismantle the institution of traditional marriage, the San Diego Padres have decided to play more than baseball in this battle over the future definition of family in America. After an enormous amount of controversy erupted in 2007 due to a Gay Pride celebration at PETCO Park, the San Diego Padres are once again attacking traditional family values by allowing another Gay Pride celebration at the ballpark during an upcoming July 11, 2008 game between the Padres and the Atlanta Braves. This year's PETCO Park celebration of homosexuality, lesbianism and transsexuality will include the San Diego Gay Pride organization recognizing volunteers, supporters and allies of the gay community as well as celebrating with the organization that coordinates the annual porn-filled festival and parade. Last year's festival and parade included the gay sex dating service Interactive Male, the "Youth Queer Lounge", the gay porn company Helix Studios, the gay porn company Colt Studios, and the sexually sadistic "The Leather Realm" venue. Included in last year's parade that allowed small children to participate, were the porn store Romantix Adult Book and Video, the Atheist Coalition of San Diego, the Rubber Rose Sexuality Boutique, and the San Diego Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is a group of men who dress up as nuns to mock the Catholic Church, oftentimes engaging in graphic and sexualized behaviors. In addition to PETCO Park selling discount tickets to Gay Pride participants for the July 11, 2008 baseball game between the Atlanta Braves and the San Diego Padres, a number of homosexual musical choruses will join forces to sing the national anthem during the game. According to the San Diego Gay Pride website, the homosexual softball league known as America's Finest City Softball League has partnered with San Diego Pride to celebrate Out At The Park with their supporters and volunteers, as well as recognizing the GALA Choruses of San Diego. GALA Choruses of San Diego, part of a network of gay and lesbian choruses, will sing the National Anthem during the July 11th Padres game at PETCO Park in the heart of downtown San Diego. Make no mistake about it. The Padres are not innocent bystanders in the battle by gay activists to dismantle the traditional definition of marriage and family in San Diego. By allowing the GALA Choruses of San Diego to sing the national anthem on national television as part of the various 2008 Gay Pride celebration activities in San Diego, the San Diego Padres are choosing to side with those who are fighting everything that Christians and other advocates of traditional family values stand for. To further implicate the San Diego Padres in the role that they are playing in the promotion of this year's Gay Pride event at PETCO Park is information obtained from the website of America's Finest City Softball League (AFCSL). According to AFCSL, the gay softball league will once again be hosting a gay softball day with the Padres at PETCO Park. AFCSL is encouraging as many people as possible to attend the Padres game to gain free public exposure for the gay community at the ballpark. The group also states that the Padres will make a donation back to the gay softball league and the porn-promoting San Diego Gay Pride organization as a "thank-you" for the group ticket sales from the Gay Pride Day at PETCO Park. The mission statement of the San Diego Men's Chorus (SDMC), a group that will be among the many gay singing groups performing at PETCO Park, makes it clear that their organizational goals are not limited to music. The SDMC website states unequivocally this: "To promote social progress and equality through the power of gay men's voices united in song." Additionally, the mission of the organization, broad in its scope, goes far beyond singing songs by stating : "Making unique and important contributions to the LGBT community and to the cultural landscape of the San Diego region." In addition to the Gay Pride party at PETCO Park, the San Diego GALA Choruses will be joined by the Metropolitan Community Church (MCC), as they sing the national anthem. MCC is an apostate church that promotes same-sex marriages and teaches that homosexuality is a "gift" from God. One of the MCC churches in San Francisco has actually advocated that leather S & M sex should be accepted under the twisted doctrine of "Leather Spirituality." In allowing the MCC choir to sing the National Anthem, the San Diego Padres are going from playing a baseball game with leather gloves and baseball bats to supporting the immorality of leather sex and support for gay marriage. Last year, San Diego Gay Pride, one of the biggest promoters of gay pornography in San Diego, partnered with the San Diego Padres to hold a PETCO Park gay pride event at the same time that the Padres had already scheduled a "Free Kid's Floppy Cap Giveaway" event at the ballpark. Over 100 child protection advocates held a protest outside of the ballpark entrance to warn parents not to bring their kids into the park while the gay pride event was being held. While Padres officials tried to calm the fears of the thousands of pre-teens who showed up at the same time that the team was allowing the Gay Pride celebration, evidence about the dangerous activities of San Diego Gay Pride were made available to parents by the protesters. For their part, the Padres attempted to claim that they were innocent of any wrongdoing when they allowed the mixing of the youth event with last year's Gay Pride activism event. According to the Union Tribune, an official with the Padres stated that the team was caught in the middle and that the convergence of events was a "scheduling coincidence." There will be no such claims this year by Padres' officials. By booking the gay activist music groups to sing the national anthem as part of this year's Gay Pride celebrations, the Padres are clearly showing their true rainbow colors in the culture war. Indeed, by allowing participants of the anti-christian, pro-gay marriage Gay Pride celebrations to promote their agenda on national television during the July 11th game, the San Diego Padres are showing that they have little respect for the hundreds of thousands of Christian baseball fans who have helped to pay for PETCO Park, the recently built baseball stadium that wealthy Padres players and team owners now benefit from. Pouring salt into the wounds that they intentionally inflicted last year, the Padres will once again allow PETCO Park to be used as a staging ground for the sexualized, anti-family agenda of the San Diego Gay Pride events. Complaints about the Padres allowing the Gay Pride celebration at PETCO Park is not about discrimination as gay activists would have the public believe. These complaints are, in fact, about standing up to the perverted ideals and history of San Diego Gay Pride, an organization which consistently promotes xxx gay pornography and mocks followers of the Catholic Church by allowing men dressed up as nuns to engage in sexualized mockery of the church during their parade. San Diego Gay Pride also has a history of hiring a pedophile clown to work around children in their festival and mixing minors with adults in sexualized situations. ~ The Battle Over Same-Sex Marriage ~ Because there is a historical battle over marriage underway in California, it is critical that corporations which profit off of the Christian Community stay away from siding with the radical gay agenda. There are two questions that the Padres must answer in facing up to their role in helping gay activists to promote their agenda of dismantling the traditional definition of marriage and family in California: Question #1: Do Christians have a reasonable expectation that the Padres should restrict organizations that promote pornography and the destruction of traditional marriage from holding events at the park? Question #2: Are the Padres willing to sacrifice the thousands of customers they will lose over their promotion of the Gay Pride organization and its events? PETCO Park history: Hundreds of millions of dollars given by taxpayers to build PETCO Park. Do the taxpayers have a right to expect the ballpark to avoid promoting sexual deviancy in compliance with the wishes of the hundreds of thousands of Christians who paid for the bonds on the ballpark? Thousands and thousands of Christians helped fund PETCO Park. Now, after getting the money from these taxpayers to build their new stadium, the Padres are allowing a promoter of gay pornography and gay marriage to hold a celebration at the park. The Padres continue to manipulate the public so that they can maintain ticket sales at the same time that they are helping the San Diego Gay Pride organization to promote homosexuality, lesbianism and transsexuality to the mainstream public. While the churches in San Diego are currently engaged in a war to save the traditional meaning of marriage in California via an upcoming state constitutional ban on same-sex marriages, the San Diego Gay Pride organization is equally determined to stop that effort and see that same-sex marriages are legalized. For years, the San Diego Gay Pride festival has held same-sex commitment ceremonies as the mock-equivalent to traditional marriage ceremonies. To keep churches coming to the ballpark, the Padres are allowing "Fellowship Night" at PETCO Park. This is one of the most despicable attempts by a sports corporation to get money from Christians at the same time that the corporation is supporting a homosexual organization that is determined to undermine the values of those same Christians. San Diego City Council Honors Gay Porn Promoter By Declaring "Gay and Lesbian Times Day" In The City of San Diego.
Christian City Councilmembers Joined the Majority In Voting to Honor One of the Biggest Promoters of Gay Pornography in the City of San Diego.
Catholic San Diego City Attorney Mike Aguirre and Lesbian City Councilwoman Toni Atkins led the charge in repeated attacks against Christian activist James Hartline and other Christians who pleaded with the city council to reject the honoring of the pornographic Gay and Lesbian Times.
(JHReport) San Diego father and businessman Mike Farmer accurately summarized what many were thinking during an April 15, 2008 San Diego City Council meeting when the city council voted to issue a proclamation in honor of a porn-promoting publication called the Gay and Lesbian Times. During his speech in opposition to the proclamation, Farmer told the council, "I feel like I'm in some alternative universe." Farmer was not alone in his shock and dismay that the San Diego City Council was preparing to honor one of San Diego's biggest promoters of the gay pornography industry. For years, the Gay and Lesbian Times has used its publication to promote and sale xxx gay pornography. The classifieds section of the Gay and Lesbian Times is replete with advertisements for men who are seeking other men to engage in anal intercourse, nude massages, male prostitution and the hiring of men as young as 18 years of age to make gay porn movies. James Hartline, a Christian activist and a current candidate for the San Diego City Council, presented a six minute speech before the city council that detailed the deplorable contents of the Gay and Lesbian Times. In shockingly graphic details, Hartline outlined the extremely immoral and anti-catholic agenda of Gay and Lesbian Times publisher Michael Portantino. Citing evidence from Portantino's other publication, Rocket Magazine, James Hartline told the city council that Michael Portantino has a history of using his publications for mixing graphic sexual content with appalling attacks against the Catholic community. For example, in a February 16, 2006 edition of Rocket Magazine's column "Toyz-4-Boyz," one of the most disgusting articles ever written against Catholics was published by Michael Portantino's company Uptown Publications. Uptown Publications is the parent company of the Gay and Lesbian Times. The "Toyz-4-Boyz" article stated:
"Here at Rocket Magazine, we love all things politically incorrect. We are
constantly on the lookout for offensive material to shock and hopefully piss off at least a few of our readers. This week we stumbled upon the web site Divine- Interventions.com." Divine Interventions specializes in making dildos out of religious icons. During his council speech, Hartline described for the city council the items from Divine Interventions being promoted by Michael Portantino in his publication Rocket Magazine. Those items included the "Baby Jesus Butt Plug" and "Jackhammer Jesus" which is a rubber sex toy featuring Jesus hanging on the cross. A third item mentioned by Hartline was a dildo in the shape of the Virgin Mary called "The Diving Nun." During the city council meeting, fourteen Christian and Catholic citizens stood with Hartline at the podium as he described how insulting it was for them to have their names used to honor the filthy business practices of Gay and Lesbian Times publisher Michael Portantino. In a shocking disregard for the emotional pain and suffering that the city council was causing Christians and Catholics by honoring Portantino, the city council voted unanimously to declare Gay and Lesbian Times Day in the City of San Diego. Diane Chapman, a well-respected San Diego County business owner and faithful member of her local Catholic parish, confronted lesbian City Councilwoman Toni Atkins for sponsoring the Gay and Lesbian Times Day proclamation. In her speech, Chapman told the council, "I looked over the Gay and Lesbian Times and I cannot believe it's content. This is not National Geographic. Seriously consider if you want your name associated with it." After the vote, Chapman told the James Hartline Report this, "As a Catholic, I could not believe that they would honor a soft porn magazine and therefore an editor who allows ads for sex toys that mock the Catholic Church and holy Christian symbols." Adding to the insulting and anti-religious nature of the proclamation itself, were the comments of several members of the city council who defended Michael Portantino and his publications. Controversial San Diego City Attorney Michael Aguirre had the audacity to tell the crowded city council chambers that he is a faithful member of the Catholic Church at the same time that he supports the immoral and extremely anti-catholic content of Portantino's publications. Telling those in attendance during the meeting that he has actually known Michael Portantino for many years, City Attorney Aguirre shocked the Christians at the meeting by saying this of Portantino, "He is a person that believes in fundamental 'family values' and is actually quite conservative." Aguirre, who recently helped push through a San Diego City Council-approved legal brief in support of gay marriage, added these insulting comments during his support of Michael Portantino and the Gay and Lesbian Times Day proclamation: "There is alot of division and ill will that gets expressed towards the gay and lesbian community by those that have either been a part of it or for their own religious reasons, out of good faith, are confused and can't accept themselves." In another shocking display of hypocrisy, Councilman Tony Young voted to honor the porn-promoting enterprises of Michael Portantino. Young, who claims to be a born-again Christian, once again revealed the shallow and fraudulent commitment he has to his Christian values. Late last year, Young was seen standing with a number of black pastors at a public protest against gay marriage. These pastors will be critical to Young once he seeks re-election in 2010. However, in 2008, Councilman Young is more concerned with celebrating the porn industry than he with his feigned public profession of being a born-again Christian. Young told the city council chambers, "Congratulations on your day (Mr. Portantino). I'm going to support this proclamation because I'm here.... to represent 'everybody'." Apparently, 'everybody' includes the gay pornography industry as well as the company that sells sex toys in the shape of religious icons. Another San Diego city councilmember who claims to be a Christian, Brian Maienschein, also voted to honor the porn-promoting Gay and Lesbian Times. Like Mike Aguirre and Council President Scott Peters, Brian Maienschein is running for the city attorney's seat in the upcoming June 3, 2008 election. Councilman Maienschein continues to shock Christian voters in San Diego with the depth of his continuous betrayal of members of the Christian Community. Maienschein is currently seeking speaking engagements with groups composed of conservatives and Christians to help his campaign. James Hartline had this to say about Maienschein's constant religious hypocrisy; "Of all the people that I have had to deal with in the six years that I have been coming to the city council meetings to stand up for family values, Brian Maienschein has proven to be the single biggest deceiver and hypocrite I have faced." Three years ago, Brian Maienschein was invited to speak at Hartline's church, Mission Valley Christian Fellowship, because he had stood up for saving the Mt. Solead Cross during the 2004 elections. While at the church, Maienschein told the congregation of 1,500 that he was proud to be a Christian in today's troubled culture. Since that time, Maienschein has repeatedly voted to honor the San Diego Gay Pride organization, voted to honor the abortion industry with a proclamation that declared Reproductive Choice Day in the City of San Diego, and of course, honoring the gay pornography industry via this week's Gay and Lesbian Times Day proclamation. It is clear that the Christians on the San Diego City Council are more concerned with the opinion of the publisher of the Gay and Lesbian Times, which claims a circulation of over 15,000 readers, than they are with the Christian voters or even, the God they claim to serve in their faith. After the council voted to declare Gay and Lesbian Times Day in the City of San Diego, Mike Farmer told the James Hartline Report that he is beginning to see a pattern develop at the council in recent months. "It doesn't seem to matter what Christians or anyone opposing the agenda of lesbian Councilwoman Toni Atkins thinks or has to say. Whether it's a proclamation for the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, or the porn-filled Gay and Lesbian Times, this City Council dutifully votes - almost always unanimously - in favor of Ms. Atkins' radical agenda," said Farmer. "I personally pleaded with the other council members not to let Ms. Atkins and her constituents bully them. They were all looking me right in the eyes as if they were actually paying attention to what I said. And maybe they were, but it didn't make a bit of difference. When it came time to vote, this council still voted to honor the publisher of G&L Times. It was "yes" right down the board. If this had been my first time to a City Council meeting, I would have been shocked. I'm now growing numb to their total disregard for what's right and decent. It's a sad time in the history of "America's Finest City" when the people voted into office honor those who seek to destroy the moral fabric of our society," declared Farmer. - On The Frontlines Of The Culture War - April 3, 2008 Log Cabin Republican National Convention To Be Held In San Diego From April 10 -13, 2008 will feature Mayor Jerry Sanders, Lesbian District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis and non-stop attacks against Christian Conservatives who hold a Traditional Biblical View that Homosexuality is a Sin. Gay Republican Convention will also Feature the Extremist Anti-Christian Movie "For The Bible Tells Me So." New York Times Review: "Movie entitled 'For The Bible Tells Me So' features an animated short in which a gay man, a lesbian and a booming Voice of God (Don LaFontaine) disabuse a homophobe of his ignorance. The dummy’s name? Christian." (JHReport) The mayor of San Diego, California has now intensified his disturbing record of attacking Christian Conservatives by agreeing to be one of the featured speakers at an upcoming national convention for the Log Cabin Republicans. The Log Cabin Republicans, a vehemently, anti-christian gay Republican organization, has announced that San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders will be one of their featured speakers during the group's national convention to be held April 10 - 13, 2008 in San Diego, California. The appearance by Sanders at the convention is sure to leave many political veterans confused and angry at the mayor of America's 8th largest city, particularly when he needs the votes of Christian conservatives far more than he needs the support of the few homosexual Republicans that live in San Diego. Sanders is currently seeking a second term as mayor during the June 3, 2008 California primary. Jerry Sanders, a Republican, created a firestorm of controvery last September when he broke a 2005 campaign pledge not to support same-sex marriage. In a move that shocked Republican voters who are fighting to preserve the historical definition of marriage in California, Sanders abruptly broke his campaign promise and signed a city council-issued gay-friendly legal brief to the California Supreme Court. The Sanders-approved legal brief stated that the City of San Diego supports the lawsuit filed by homosexual activists to have marriage redefined to include same-sex couples. The Log Cabin Republicans have a long history of attacking the values of Christian Conservatives within the Republican Party. Some keen political observers believe that many Log Cabin Republican members are nothing more than homosexual Democratic Party operatives who are infiltrating the GOP in the hopes of dismantling conservative opposition to the homosexual movement within the party. Recent attacks by members of the Log Cabin Republicans against Californians who are defending the traditional definition of marriage have even extended to the Log Cabin Republicans joining with gay and lesbian Democrats to put pressure on California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to sign legislation which would legalize homosexual nuptials in the state. As recently as last year, NBC was reporting on the aggressive tactics of the Log Cabin Republicans to push forth the legislation to redefine marriage: " 'When it comes to marriage, we believe in the fundamental fairness of the American people. There has never been a major civil rights movement that has failed in the United States,' said statewide director of the Log Cabin Republicans, James Vaughn. "The California Legislative Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Caucus at the capitol are all Democrats, NBC reported. "' Log Cabin is working on that,' Vaughn said. 'One of my goals this year is to start building a farm team of Republicans who can run credible campaigns.' "Log Cabin Republicans are meeting with the Schwarzenegger administration, seeking appointments to state boards and commissions as part of their grassroots campaign. " 'Although the governor is unlikely to sign a gay marriage bill in 2007, the Log Cabin Republicans are not giving up,' Luery reported. They said they are committed to broadening the reach of California's Republican party. "California's marriage equality bill, similar to a measure vetoed by Schwarzenegger in 2005, was written by Democratic Assemblyman Mark Leno of San Francisco." Some of the current activities of the Log Cabin Republicans are viewed as dangerous by many long time Republican activists and leaders. Priscilla Schreiber, a popular boardmember of the Grossmont Union High School District, says that the Log Cabin Republicans are causing great concern for those who are trying to preserve the foundational principles of the Republican Party. Regarding Mayor Sanders speaking at the group's national convention, Schreiber said, "This is one more step towards furthering their agenda by infiltrating the Republican Party and desecrating the planks of the Republican Party Platform." Mrs. Schreiber, who was reelected in a landslide victory to the East San Diego County school board in 2004, is seeking a third term this year. It was Schreiber's stand against the infiltration of the radical gay agenda in her school district which fueled her popularity and her political career. Schreiber is not alone in her criticism of the Log Cabin Republicans and their liberal, anti-christian agenda. John Steele, a San Diego-based military veteran and long time Republican leader, told the James Hartline Report that he is greatly concerned with the moral direction of the country and the attempts to hurt the military by promoting homosexuality within its ranks. In a time of war, the last thing that the military is looking for is a lack of cohesion within its armed forces. Yet, that is exactly what the Log Cabin Republicans will be accomplishing if they get their way. Joining gay activists within the Democratic Party, the Log Cabin Republicans are seeking to end the the military's ban on the practice of male sodomy by male soldiers. On the agenda for this year's national Log Cabin Republican's convention in San Diego is a session titled: The Path to Victory. The Path to Victory session is described this way: Find out what's ahead in Congress and in state legislatures on issues such as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), relationship recognition, and more. To put this particular session into context, a review of the Log Cabin Republicans' website provides clarity. The group states: As our nation fights the war on terrorism, we need the most qualified and competent service members, regardless of their sexual orientation. The Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy is undermining our efforts to win this battle. Joining Mayor Sanders as a speaker at the convention will be lesbian San Diego District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis. Of great concern to Christian voters in San Diego is the appearance of Dumanis at an event by a group which has the kind of serious discriminatory view of Christians as that held by the Log Cabin Republicans. "How can Bonnie Dumanis participate with a group that attacks Christians at the same time that she is responsible for prosectuting hate crimes committed against Christians?" asks James Hartline, a well known Christian Conservative leader in San Diego. The Log Cabin Republicans make very little effort to hide their disdain and their discriminatory attitude towards Evangelicals within the Republican Party. On the Log Cabin Republicans' website they describe in detail their hate-filled attitude towards Christian Conservatives this way: Americans to achieve full equality much sooner-decades sooner. The radical right represents the last obstacle on the path to full equality. Defeat them in the grassroots of the GOP and all of us can enjoy the benefits of liberty much sooner." To gain a better understanding of just how hostile the Log Cabin Republicans are to the Christian Conservative influence inside of the GOP, one needs to look no farther than a 2006 press release issued by the group after the U. S. House of Representatives failed to approve President Bush's constitutional marriage amendment that limited the definition of marriage to one man and one woman: Log Cabin Praises Resounding Defeat of Anti-Family Constitutional Amendment in U.S. House : "....This proposed amendment to our constitution is about discrimination. It is about fear. It is unnecessary. It is unwarranted and it should be soundly defeated. Today's victory for the forces of freedom and fairness highlights a growing chorus of Republican and conservative opposition to a constitutional amendment on marriage. Log Cabin aggressively lobbied House and Senate Republicans against this amendment and mobilized unprecedented grassroots support from across the nation, hand-delivering thousands of postcards to Members of Congress asking them to oppose this anti-gay amendment." James Hartline says that Jerry Sanders is once again making an extremely revealing blunder by speaking at an Anti-Christian, Anti-Republican platform event at the same time that he is seeking the vote of Christian Conservatives in the current mayor's race. "Mayor Sanders continues to aggressively participate with groups that have an extremely hateful view of Christians and those who believe in the traditions articulated by America's Founding Fathers," says Hartline. What makes Hartline even more concerned about the Log Cabin Republicans' current national convention to be held in San Diego is the group's very specfic attack on Biblical Christianity, an attack that is being highlighted during the convention. Among the featured events at the convention is the presentation of a film titled "For The Bible Tells Me So." Incredible as it may be, the Log Cabin Republicans are actually showing this hate-filled, anti-christian movie with the director in attendance during the convention. To put things in perspective, Hartline asks, "Why is an alledged Republican political organization showing an anti-christian religious movie at its convention?" Hartline points out that the movie is being shown right after those in attendance participate in a cocktail party. A review in the New York Times stated that the movie, Daniel Karslake’s documentary “For the Bible Tells Me So”, won’t win any prizes for technique, but innovation surely ranks very low on this filmmaker’s to-do list. Mr. Karslake has said that the movie is mainly intended as a feature-length primer that can be deployed in arguments with homophobes." The movie is so repugnant in its attack on traditional Christianity that it is incredible that the mayor of San Diego would be willing to partner with such bigotry. Hartline says that Mayor Jerry Sanders has now reduced the mayoral office in San Diego to nothing less than the office of anti-christian bigotry. The New York Times review of the Log Cabin Republican-embraced movie reveals an even more twisted analysis of the film: "Filmgoers and critics who are mainly interested in aesthetics will have little tolerance for this secular sermon. Viewers who got this particular memo long ago will likely deem it condescending, a word embodied by this movie’s most unfortunate sequence, a smart-alecky animated short in which a gay man, a lesbian and a booming Voice of God (Don LaFontaine) disabuse a homophobe of his ignorance. The dummy’s name? Christian." Footage from the film attempts to depict all Christians who believe homosexuality is a sin as hatemongering criminals. The director of the film does this by putting together bits and pieces of religious hate speech by various fanatics and extremists. For the mayor of San Diego and the district attorney to participate in any event that features this film under the guise of politics is really a monumentally disgraceful event for the City of San Diego. The fact that the San Diego County Republican Party continues to endorse Sanders after he betrayed his promise during his original mayoral campaign to not support same-sex marriage is very troubling for most conservative voters in San Diego. The idea that Sanders is now participating with a group that is so hateful in their attacks on Christians, to the point that the convention is devoting a good portion of its time to mocking Bible-believing Christians, makes it really disgraceful for the GOP leadership to continue supporting Sanders. "Christian Conservative voters have lost all confidence in Sanders to govern with fairness and impartiality," says Hartline. "And voters equallly, have no confidence that lesbian District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis will ever prosecute hate crimes being committed against Christians in San Diego. Her particpation in this extemist anti-christian convention really proves that point quite well," Hartline adds. March 13th is now officially “ACLU Day.” San Diego council members claim the ACLU has a rich history in “America’s Finest City. Rebecca Rauber with the ACLU accepted the honor claiming her organization protects the “constitutional rights of all people.” “We have hundreds of cases defending the religious rights of Christians to freely practice their faith without government interference.” But city council candidate James Hartline calls that a smokescreen. “They are certainly not reflecting the will of the people of San Diego by honoring a group that 76% of the entire city voted to keep the Mt. Soledad Cross on its permanent location.” The ACLU was behind a pro-gay agenda in San Diego that forced the Boy Scouts off public property. "We don't want to take a position one way or the other," said Geisel's San Francisco lawyer, Cathy Bencieengo. "But this is not an area in which Dr. Seuss participates."

OTTAWA - The lawyer representing the widow of Theodor Seuss Geisel, known around the globe as children's writer Dr. Seuss, is protesting the reprinting of a quote from the author's work, Horton Hears a Who!, on an anti-abortion poster being distributed in Ottawa Roman Catholic churches. Cathy Bencieengo said she will ask the local anti-abortion group Action Life Ottawa to remove the line "A person's a person, no matter how small" and Dr. Seuss's name from a color poster showing an embryo. Christians, Christmas and The Grinch Each year, the Old Globe Theater in San Diego produces its extravagant production of Dr. Seuss' "How The Grinch Stole Christmas". And each year, hundreds of Bible-believing Christians will line up and pluck down the $49 for adult tickets and $25 for children's tickets. In times past, one has even seen Audrey Geisel sitting in the audience. One must also wonder, if Geisel continues to have her way, whether or not Planned Parenthood will leave any future child actors to perform in her plays. Planned Parenthood could invaribly put Geisel's Grinch play out of business, having killed off all future child actors. Does Audrey Geisel actually envision herself as the real Grinch when she is watching the children cooing over the fictitious Grinch as he steals the Christmas gifts from Whosville, knowing that her rabid support for the abortionists of Planned Parenthood are killing precious children? As Christians throughout America walk their children into churches this Christmas, holding onto a little baby in one hand, and a Bible in the other, isn't it time to consider where they are spending their money and what they are really financing. San Diego City Council Honors the Abortion Industry By Declaring Reproductive Choice Day in the City of San Diego
Five Courageous Christians Stand Up For Life As the San Diego City Council Votes Unanimously To Declare A Day Of Honor For San Diego's Abortion Industry
(JHReport) The horrors of the abortion industry were front and center in the San Diego City Council chambers on February 19, 2008 as the San Diego City Council declared Reproductive Choice Day in the City of San Diego. The declaration to honor the abortion industry in San Diego was initiated by lesbian San Diego City Councilwoman Toni Atkins. Prior to her election as a member of the San Diego city council, Toni Atkins managed a number of abortion clinics, as well as being the Chair of the Coalition for Reproductive Choice. At odds with Councilwoman Atkins and her use of the city council as a vehicle for promoting the abortion industry were five outspoken Christian activists who attended the Feb. 19th city council meeting. During the contentious debate over the abortion honoring proclamation, San Diego city council candidate James Hartline and local pro-life activist Eddie Brown went toe-to-toe with Atkins and the abortion industry. After the Christian pro-life speakers had issued their fervent pleas asking the council to vote no on issuing the proclamation, the San Diego City Council voted unanimously to declare Reproductive Choice Day in the City of San Diego. Once again, a number of San Diego city councilmembers who claim to be Christians sided with the killing of unborn children and the abortion industry. Councilmember Tony Young was not present for the vote. Eddie Brown retired three years ago from the Navy to become one of America's most recognized voices in the growing pro-life movement. Brown, 28, changed his entire schedule the day before the Feb. 19th council meeting when he found out that Atkins had scheduled a hearing to honor the abortion industry. Eddie Brown has given his entire post-miliary life to the saving of countless unborn babies. He is a man who understands the pain of losing a child. Eddie and his wife April recently lost their first child to a miscarriage. April Brown is currently blessed to be pregnant with another child. During the Feb. 19th hearing, Eddie Brown issued a truly historic plea on behalf of the unborn children who are being slaughtered in the abortion mills of Planned Parenthood. For six minutes, Eddie Brown's inspiring and thought-provoking presentation caused everyone present in the council chambers to sit transfixed on the podium and its speaker. He reminded Atkins and the other pro-abortion councilmembers that there is a higher authority that they will be held accountable to than just the voters. Brown warned the council that a "prophetic generation" has been arising in America since the 1973 decision that legalized abortion in the United States. Joining Eddie Brown at the podium was Gordon MacIlvaine, a 31 year-old former teacher who is currently seeking a Masters in Education. Like Eddie Brown, MacIlvaine is involved in a local prayer and pro-life ministry called the Justice House of Prayer. Followng Eddie Brown was longtime Christian activist and city council candidate James Hartline. Hartline called upon the city council to stop using the taxpayer's precious time and money during council meetings to honor Councilwoman Atkins' obsession with the abortion industry. Hartline stated that each year, in his estimation, the San Diego city council uses up over three entire work days by issuing city proclamations, which in most cases are issued on behalf of the special interests of councilmembers. He also noted that the photographs which are taken of councilmembers with the recepients of these proclamations are then later used during those same councilmembers' reelection campaigns. Standing with Hartline at the podium was Julie Smith, who Hartline calls, "one of his faithful assistants." Smith, a mother and grandmother, is an outspoken supporter of life and a strong opponent of the abortion movement. Both Smith and Hartline are longtime members of Mission Valley Christian Fellowship, a church where members are encouraged to take active roles in the affairs of their city government. Opening up the battlefront for the Christian Community during the Feb. 19th city council hearing was community activist and senior citizen Don Stillwell. Don Stillwell has been attending local city council hearings for many years. During his dozens of appearances at city hall, Stillwell has constantly had to remind council president Scott Peters to say the Pledge of Allegiance before starting the council meetings. Councilman Peters, who claims to be a Christian, is a major donor to Planned Parenthood. Councilwoman Donna Frye, a former candidate for mayor in San Diego, represents the beach community on the city council. Frye was especially negative to Hartline and the other pro-lifers during the debate over the proclamation to honor the abortion industry. Donna Frye has spent years on the city council mocking Christians and fighting every attempt by James Hartline to bring moral values back to the city council. After Hartline had concluded his remarks, Frye stated, "I support a woman's right to choose, I always will, I always have." After Frye concluded her comments in support of the abortion industry, one bystander commented to Hartline that he felt Frye had somehow crossed "a point of no return" regarding her anti-christian mentality. From repeatedly voting to remove the Mt. Soledad Cross from a Veteran's War Memorial to voting to affirm a legal brief in support of same-sex marriages, Donna Frye has become a controversial contradiction to her famous surfer husband Skip Frye. Skip Frye was once a very public born again Christian, but after years of attacks on the Christian Community by his wife Donna, few believe that Skip Frye still follows an Evangelical Christian path. At the end of 2008, Toni Atkins will clean out her city council office and take her many years of rabid homosexual and abortion activism with her. Atkins will be termed out and pro-life activist James Hartline is determined to make sure that her city council seat is not replaced with another misguided proponent of radicalized anti-christian ideals. For the past eight months, James Hartline has been campaigning to become the next city council representative from San Diego's District 3 which is currently represented by Atkins. For six years, Hartline has been regularly and consistently confrontling the corruptive and immoral agenda of both Councilwoman Toni Atkins and Councilwoman Donna Frye. There has been no greater proponent of strong Christian values at San Diego's City Hall over the past decade than James Hartline. Hartline has paid a price, however. From receiving repeated death threats to being ostracized by many San Diego pastors, Hartline has been tried and tested in the fires of a city that is on the brink of a complete moral breakdown. That has not stopped James Hartline or his potent activism. In fact, instead of fading away, Hartline says that he is just getting started. Take for example the words that he declared in his speech as he opposed the vote to declare a day in honor of the abortion industry in the City of San Diego. Hartline stated: "Today’s vote on this proclamation is about the promotion of the abortion industry. Today’s proclamation is all about Councilwoman Atkin’s obsession with abortion."The idea that we have continuously been forced to have our name used to honor the abortion industry in this city because Councilwoman Atkins is obsessed with abortion is something that voters in the city of San Diego need to finally declare: Enough is enough!
"We are once again outraged that we are being forced to have a personal obsession of Councilwoman Atkins forced upon us. We do not want our names being used to honor the abortion industry. When these proclamations are declared by the city, it does so in our name." James Hartline also looked the council squarely in the face and warned each member: "Any council person that votes today for this proclamation to honor the abortion industry will never, ever get our votes in any future elections. We will make sure that every voter in San Diego and San Diego County is made aware of those who vote for this heinous proclamation." Apparently, Councilman Brian Maienschein did not heed Hartline's warning. Maienschein, who has announced he is running for the San Diego City Attorney's seat, has told Chistians in San Diego that he is a fellow Christian. Maienschein, who is now seeking out the support of Evangelical Christians for his upcoming campaign, has repeatedly betrayed those same Christians by voting for gay pride and pro-abortion proclamations. By voting to honor the abortion industry, Maienschein has clearly demonstrated that he is not going to honor his previously professed Christianity while seeking out the Christian vote. With over 17,000 daily readers and thousands more on various other news websites throughout America, James Hartline has one of the most effective and established networks for conveying information to San Diego Christians. One of the things Hartline has told JHReport he intends to do after the Feb. 19th vote is to make sure that voters are aware of how the council voted on the abortion industry proclamation. "No Christian of conscience can vote for Councilman Brian Maienschein to become our city attorney after he so blatantly violated his commitment to Jesus Christ by honoring the abortion industry," says an emphatic James Hartline. Meng Shulan's fearful and sleepy eyes abruptly pop open as she hears the agonizing screams pierce through the cold and merciless winter night. The tormenting screams are a painful reminder that Meng Shulan will never find a complete night of rest in her homeland of China as long as the brutal Communist regime in Beijing is allowed to continue its murderous reign of terror. The screams belong to Meng's friend, Zhou Chenxiu. Once again Zhou is being beaten by the local police because she will not reveal the source of the Gospel literature that she distributes in the country town of Moding. Meng Shulan buries her dreams and her face into her dirty, well-worn pillow. No matter how much she attempts to muffle the sound of her beloved Christian friend screaming in response to the police brutality, Meng knows that the beatings will never stop because Zhou Chenxiu will never tell the state police where she obtains her Bibles and Gospel literature. Shuang Shuying, a neighbor of Meng Shulan, hears the screams as well. Shuang, a 33 year-old mother of one son, stares silently at the dirt floor in her two room house. As she slowly rocks herself back and forth, Shuang holds back great tears of grief. Her tears trickle down her face as she hears the tormenting sounds of Zhou Chenxiu crying out after each slap in her face and after each punch in her stomach. Shuang Shuying has much to cry over. It is still painful for her to recall the day, ten years ago, when the medical police broke into her tiny home and drug her away to the abortion clinic. She will never forget the day that she was tied down on the cold, stainless steel table and her precious five month-old baby ripped from her womb. Shuang Shuying is one of the millions of Chinese women who have been victimized under Chinese law which bans any woman from having more than one child. The Chinese government's forced abortion law is strictly carried out in China against any woman who refuses to willingly abort her pregnancy after the woman has already had her first child. This is the cruel legalization of rape by the murderous Communist regime that has ruled China for nearly sixty years. This is also the same murderous Chinese government that was given the right to hold the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. The Communist Madmen of China have been well-rewarded for their heinous crimes. In an incredible act of hypocrisy and cruelty, United States President George W. Bush has agreed to attend the Olympics in Beijing. According to the New York Times, President Bush said on September 6, 2007 that he has accepted an invitation from President Hu Jintao of China to attend the 2008 summer Olympics in Beijing, a move that is likely to inflame China’s critics, who are calling for a boycott of the games to protest human rights abuses in that country. Back in Moding, Meng Shulan is now silent. The beating has stopped for the night and she is returned to her prison cell in the Moding Province labor camp. The labor camps are always busy. Nearly 100 million Chinese Christians live with the possiblity of being taken to one of the Chinese labor camps where they will be beaten, tortured, and deprived of basic human dignity. Their crimes: attending Christian services at one of China's secret house churches or distributing Bibles and Gospel literature. There are other vile crimes being committed against the oppressed citizens of China by their demonic communist dictators. Yes, many, many other evil crimes. NewsMax reported on December 15, 2004 about the horrific infanticide and forced abortion crimes being perpetrated by the Communist dictators in China. According to NewsMax, the U.S. State Department reported that despite some changes, China's one-child family planning program remains a source of coercion, forced abortions, infanticide and perilously imbalanced boy-girl ratios. Testimony before the House International Relations Committee focused on a Shanghai woman who, since her second pregnancy in the late 1980s, has been assigned to psychiatric wards, coerced into an abortion, and removed from her job. She is reportedly subject to torture in a labor camp. "Mao Hengfeng," said Rep. Christopher Smith, R-N.J., "is the most egregious example of China's mistreatment of women who do not comply with China's draconian policies, but there are thousands of other victims." "The one-child policy is the most pervasive source of human-rights violations in China today," said Harry Wu, a human- rights activist who spent 19 years in the Chinese labor camp system. Wu cited a 2003 document from an area of southern Guangdong Province where party secretaries and village heads were told their salaries would be cut in half if, in a 35-day period, they did not reach a goal of sterilizing 1,369 people, fitting 818 with IUDs and carrying out 163 abortions. While the murderous leaders of Communist China are authorizing a demonic reign of terror against the millions of defenseless citizens of China, there may be one crime that will be committed against the Chinese people in August, 2008 that will be worse than anything they have yet to experience. That crime will be the refusal of America's Olympic athletes to speak out against the murderous crimes being inflicted upon the wonderful Chinese people by their brutal Communist dictators. U.S. Olympic athletes are now lifting weights, running laps, taking their vitamins and eating plenty of nutritious meals in preparation for the Beijing Olympics. At the same time that U. S. athletes are living in unequaled freedom, Chinese political dissidents like Hu Jia, 34, and his wife, Zeng Jinyan, are being abused, imprisoned and silenced as part of the Chinese Communist regime's oppressive pre-olympic steps. According to the International Herald Tribune, human rights advocates and Chinese dissidents say that Hu's detention is the most telling example of what they describe as a broadening crackdown on dissent as Beijing prepares to stage the Olympic Games in August. In recent months, several dissidents have been jailed, including a former factory worker in northeastern China who collected 10,000 signatures after posting an online petition titled "We Want Human Rights, Not the Olympics." "This is a coordinated cleansing campaign," said Teng Biao, a legal expert who has known Hu since 2006. "All the troublemakers — including potential troublemakers — are being silenced before the Olympic Games." There was a time in America, when the U. S. government had the courage to stand up to oppressive regimes like the Chinese government. There was once a national American front that said NO to the evils of Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini. Today, powerful corporate interests are working through the U. S. government to make trade deals with the dictators in Beijing. Yesterday's great American honor has been exchanged for today's corporate greed. There is no difference between the slave traders that once controlled U. S. plantations and the Chinese factories that manufacture the billions of dollars worth of goods sold in America's shopping malls. There is no difference between the Apartheid regime that once controlled South Africa and the murderous regime that killed 10,000 Chinese students in Tiananmen Square in 1989. America's civil rights advocates once spoke out boldly against the world's atrocities. Today those same civil rights advocates are either working for Corporate America or playing politics for financial gain. In fact, many of yesterday's powerful voices for freedom will have their eyes glued to their television screens during the Olympics and their mouths shut as they refuse to speak out against the venemous crimes of Beijing's cruel Communist dictators. There are many U. S. Olympic Athletes who call themselves Christians. As they win their events in Beijing, they will move aside the heavy gold crosses hanging around their muscular necks to make room for their gold medals. As they are interviewed by network sportscasters, they will wipe sweat from their brows and declare, "I want to thank God, my mother and all of my fans for my great victory today." Will these same Christian U. S. Olympians actually demonstrate their commitment to Christ by calling on the Communist dictatorship in Beijing to let religious freedom ring in China? While the television cameras are rolling and the world's audience is watching, will these Christian gold medal winners give back their Olympic medals in protest of the murderous governmental mobsters that control Communist China? Indeed, will U.S. athletes be bold enough to boycott the Beijing Olympics? Will these same Christian athletes prove their faith is more than just a feel-good syrupy Joel Osteen sermon by actually bringing Bibles into China where they are so desperately needed....and wanted by the 100 million Chinese Christians who are currently banned from owning a Bible? While America's Christian athletes will be practicing and racing in Nike shoes made in China and reading Bibles printed at China's Zondervan factory, few, if any, will consider the horrific conditions their fellow Christians in China are enduring. Take the following recent case being reported by China Aid, a watch dog organization that monitors the evil crimes being committed against Chinese Christians at the hands of their Communist government persecutors: Xilinhaote City, Inner Mongolia -- China Aid has learned that the President of the Inner Mongolia Branch of the Chinese House church Alliance, Wang Dawei, was detained along with more than 40 co-workers on Wednesday, February 20, 2008. The leaders were in the 3rd day of Bible study when more than 100 Police officers from the State Security Bureau and members of the Religious Affairs bureau disrupted the meeting and detained the ministers. Police officials also confiscated the offering collection and more than 30 boxes of Bibles and other Christian literature. Security Bureau members then searched the personal residence of Wang Dawei later on in the afternoon. The leader of the meeting, a South Korean minister, was also detained during the incident, his whereabouts remain unknown. The intensity of persecution amongst members of the Chinese House Church Alliance continues to increase as the Beijing Olympics draw near. American athletes, some wealthy, some students, are all determined to go to Beijing to earn a gold medal necklace and a million dollar endorsement contract should they win their respective events. While U. S. athletes are eating well, getting their massages and garnering the adulation of their U. S. fans and supporters, Chinese citizens will be beaten, tortured, starved and imprisoned. Bill Getz of the Washington Times reavealed in his March 24, 2006 expose that a hellish industry exists in China where human organs are being harvested for sale. According to Getz, a Chinese journalist has uncovered a secret detention center in northern China that is being used by a hospital to harvest human organs for sale to domestic and international buyers. Jin Zhong, a pseudonym for the journalist who fled China recently, also said in an interview that a failed Chinese intelligence operation led to the 2004 death of a Japanese diplomat who committed suicide rather than give up secrets. On the prisoner abuse, Mr. Jin said he first learned of the harvesting operation between October and December and that the prisoners used were members of the outlawed Falun Gong religious group.
"This is murder, and murder sponsored by a state," said Mr. Jin, who in the past has been a contributor to a Japanese news agency. "It must be stopped."
This is the environment that U. S. athletes will be competing in during the 2008 Olympics. This is the nation that President Bush will celebrate when he visits Beijing to root for Americans to go for the gold. On a daily basis, Communist thugs roam the streets of Chinese cities looking for Christian house churches. Christians are regularly rounded up, beaten, tortured and imprisoned. Their crimes: holding church services, distributing Bibles and Christian-based literature. Bob Fu, director of the American-based organization China Aid, monitors the ongoing epidemic of religious persecution of Christians by the atheist communist government in China. Fu issued a press release on February 19, 2008 which reads: 21 Major House Church Leaders Sent to Labor Camp in Shandong at the Same Time. LINYI CITY, Shandong, Feb. 19 /Christian Newswire/ -- In the most massive persecution case since 1983, CAA learned 21 major house church leaders were sent to labor camp at the same time recently by Linyi City Re-education through the labor Commission. They were all detained on December 7, 2007 when they gathered together for leadership training with other 249 leaders in Hedong District, Linyi city, Shandong. After paying fines and finishing detention from a few days to a few weeks, 249 were released. The 21 most senior leaders were sentenced to 3 years to 1 year and three months. They were accused as "evil cult" members, an arbitrary charge to any non-registered house churches by the PSB. Among the 21 sentenced, 17 are men and 4 are women. When the Communist dictators in China were bidding on the 2008 Olympics, the Chinese government promised to improve its heinous restrictions on religious freedoms in China. To this day, China has deceived the world and not delivered on its promises. There are more crackdowns on dissidents and Christians than ever before in China. While President Bush and Democratic presidential contender Barak Obama will be attending church services this weekend, there will be no talk coming from the pulpits of their respective pastors about the vile torture being inflicted upon Christians in China. Much will be preached about the need for "change" in America and little will be said about the blood running in the streets of pre-olympic Beijing. According to Prisoner Alert, a ministry of The Voice of the Martyrs, in July 2007, 42-year-old Li Mei and nine Chinese house church leaders were arrested, when they were discovered having a Sunday worship service. They were charged with singing Christian hymns to villagers, showing the JESUS film in a nursing home and praying for healing for a disabled elderly man. The nine were sentenced to "re-education" through labor for 12 to 18 months. Li Mei served part of her one-year sentence in a hospital with both hands chained to her bed. Repeated beatings and torture caused her to require a hysterectomy. She is currently serving the remainder of her sentence at home under house arrest. On December 22, 2006, Pastor Wang Weiliang and seven other church leaders were sentenced from one year to three and one-half years in prison by the People‘s Court of Xiaoshan District, China. Four are in prison, four received suspended sentences. In prison, the men are forced to make clothing and shoes for export and prohibited from praying openly or reading the Bible. These leaders were arrested after thousands of PSB officers bulldozed their church building on July 29, 2006. Since Pastor Weilang's arrest and imprisonment for being the leader of a house church, the United States government has continued to encourage even more trade with China. Time after time after time, the Bush administration has financially rewarded China despite its horrific record on human rights. Most Americans will take no notice of the "made in China" stickers attached to the products they buy. Most Americans will take no thought that their purchase of Chinese goods is empowering one of the most cruel dictatorships on the face of the Earth. On February 7, 2008, Pastor Bob Fu, president of China Aid Association, was awarded the 2007 John Leland Religious Liberty Award at the Library of Congress. When accepting the award, Pastor Fu called on Christians to stand up for believers in China who face harassment, detentions and sometimes death because of their faith. Pastor Fu said, “From my own experience of being arbitrarily detained in a Chinese jail, and from the hundreds of documented cases of harassment, arbitrary detentions, seizing of property, torture and even the death of some of my Christian friends and former coworkers in China, I cannot stay silent for those who share our same faith, but not all our basic freedoms.” While wealthy U.S. corporations will be sponsoring America's Olympic team, there is virtually no possibility that television giants like ABC, NBC, CBS and ESPN will focus on the atrocities being inflicted upon Chinese Christians in Communist state-run prisons that are within walking distance of the Olympic sports venues. Will America's television viewers hear about the following crime that occured in the Yunan Province on January 23, 2008: YUNAN, China, Jan. 30 /Christian Newswire/ China Aid Association has learned that members of a House Church in Yunan Province were severely beaten by police officials on the morning of January 23. The incident occurred after two church members walked into the Xishan District's Public Security Bureau office to request an account of the items, including Bibles, that were taken from the church and burned by police officials in early December of 2007. After ignoring the members' request, officials proceeded to violently remove them from the office. One female church member 54-year- old Ms. Liang Guihua was thrown into a wall and rendered unconscious for more than 10 minutes. ~ Take Action~ What would you do if you were trapped in a nation where you were beaten every day for being a Christian? San Diego Christian Leader Pays Steep Price For Speaking Out Against Rick Warren's Unethical Use of Saddleback Church Pulpit:
Christian Activist James Hartline Loses Well-Known Media Support After Signing Published Letter That Calls On Rick Warren To Stop Allowing Pro-Abortion & Pro-Homosexual Speakers In His Pulpit
(JHReport) A nationally recognized Christian activist has learned firsthand that there is a steep price to pay for speaking out against the moral corruption of one of America's most powerful Protestant ministers. Despite the high cost to himself personally, James Hartline has been willing to expose, what he says, is a disturbing trend of theological and moral compromise coming from the pulpit of Rick Warren, pastor of the 20,000-member Saddleback Church. Hartline, who publishes a number of Christian news websites, says that he does not take any pleasure in speaking out against Warren. He simply does not want his fellow Christian believers to be taken advantage of by Saddleback Pastor Rick Warren's unbiblical activism. It has been painful for Hartline to stand up to Rick Warren -- In the process of reporting on Warren's moral compromises in the pulpit, Hartline has had a number of well-known Christian friends turn on him and abandon support for his ministry. Several months ago, the San Diego-based Christian activist could tell that something was just not right in his relationship with two close friends who work in the Christian media. Warm and welcoming conversations had abruptly turned into brief, cold and uncaring responses to his telephone calls and emails. For Hartline, he had a hard time understanding how close friends could so quickly become "spiritually schizophrenic." Eventually, he began to see a pattern evolve. What James Hartline was about to learn in the midst of this trying time would cause him to understand how treacherous the religious waters in America have become in the 21st century: "Taking on Saddleback Pastor Rick Warren is the religious equivalent of taking on a mob boss in the Italian Mafia," says Hartline. Among the many things that the coalition saw happening with Pastor Warren's AIDS Summit event that they had outlined in the document was his inviting of pro-abortion and pro-homosexual activists to speak at Saddleback Church. Peter LaBarbera, a leading figure in America's evangelical pro-family movement, called on Warren to address the leading cause of HIV transmission in the United States: gay promiscuity in gay sex clubs. LaBarbera pointed out in the AIDS Truth Coalition press release that Pastor Warren had invited Mark Dybul, a practicing homosexual, to speak at Saddleback Church.
The evangelical document was a major embarrassment for Rick Warren. The document, issued as a press release, confronted Warren for allowing pro-abortion Democratic presidential candidate Barak Obama to speak at Saddleback Church during Warren's AIDS Summit. The document pressed Pastor Warren to speak out against homosexual promiscuity, a leading cause of AIDS -- something members of the AIDS Truth Coalition did not see Rick Warren mention during his AIDS Summit at Saddleback in 2006. James Hartline was not the only prominent figure to speak out against Rick Warren for allowing Barak Obama to speak in his church. Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, called on Warren to rescind his invitation to Obama due to the liberal Democrat's rabid support for the murderous practice of partial birth abortion. Partial birth abortion is a procedure that abortion doctors use to bring unborn babies out of the birth canal except for the infant's head. The baby's skull is then crushed while still lodged in the mother's womb, thus executing the infant. Barak Obama has voted repeatedly to support this procedure. Pro-life activists like James Hartline and Troy Newman were especially outraged that Rick Warren booked Obama to speak at Saddleback Church during the 2006 AIDS Summit. "While Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church is doing a noble service for the people of Africa by holding a global summit on AIDS, I must ponder in my mind where pastors like Rick Warren were those many years when I was struggling to get out of homosexuality. For thirty years, I struggled with homosexuality and it was not until I was finally infected with AIDS at a homosexual bathhouse in San Diego, California that the physical consequences of that sin finally began to lead me away from that destructive lifestyle. "Like me, hundreds of thousands of young men have been infected in the death chambers of the gay bathhouses in California and across America. Sadly, most of them are now dead from the HIV that they caught in these establishments. … It is noble that Rick Warren cares so much for the Africans living 10,000 miles away from his church who are infected with AIDS. It is tragic, though, that he and others like him have not spoken out forcefully against the holocaust of homosexuality and the dozens of bathhouses in California where so many men are getting sick and dying. Not to mention the millions of families that are forced to pay for the financial costs of caring for all of those sick and dying from homosexuality and the gay bathhouses where they were infected with AIDS." Shortly after the ministry coalition letter against Rick Warren was published throughout America, Hartline received a disturbing email from the sales manager of KBRT, the Christian radio station in Southern California that is home to the Paul McGuire Show. What was disturbing about the email from Sarah Davis, were her attempts to manipulate Hartline into not sending out information which reflected negatively on Rick Warren. Sarah Davis' email had been preceded by an email from Hartline where he had sought to inform the staff of KBRT about Rick Warren allowing a homosexual activist to speak at his church. Hartline's email to Paul McGuire and the KBRT staff stated: Dear Paul (McGuire): "Rick Warren is having a homosexual US AIDS "ambassador" (appointed by Pres. Bush), who has a homosexual lover, speak at his church today. His name is Mark Dybul. The pulpit is supposed to be holy, no matter what the reason. In Christianity, the ends cannot justify the means." James Hartline. KBRT sales manager Sarah Davis wrote an email back to Hartline in response which read: "I have to ask you to pray about the below letter before you send it out. It is not my job to defend Rick Warren and that is not my total purpose in writing you. Yet I want you to ask yourself if what you are about to put out to the masses is the whole truth. I have personally heard, with my own ears, Rick Warren speak out against homosexuality on national television just last Sunday on a Fox News special. The church and Rick personally do not take any of those issues lightly nor do they overlook them. The media will choose to publish what it wants and unfortunately that’s the picture that stays in our mind." Not contemplating the idea that there was something sinister behind the email written by KBRT employee Sarah Davis, James Hartline just assumed that his relationship with KBRT radio personality Paul McGuire was still the way it has always been, cordial and warm. That was an assumption which James Hartline was about to learn was a big mistake. Just three months prior to the AIDS Truth Coalition document that Hartline signed onto, Paul McGuire had sent an email to James reminding him of their close friendship. McGuire's August 21, 2006 email to Hartline said: James,
"You are a good friend and often have profound things to say. Please do not be so easily offended. My producer/engineer has to sift through many calls at once to keep the show moving. I need you to be a little more patient and flexible. You know I believe in your ministry and try to support you on the air." I remain your friend in Christ, Paul McGuire. In early 2004, Paul McGuire had invited James Hartline to appear on his radio program. That interview lasted for 90 minutes and launched a three-year friendship between McGuire and Hartline. Over the three years, Hartline had repeatedly called McGuire's show and was always immediately put on the air to talk about issues related to the culture war, spiritual battles and San Diego politics. Fast forward to September, 2007, several months after Hartline had signed the AIDS Truth Coalition letter against Rick Warren In the battle to stop the San Diego City Council from issuing a legal brief in support of same-sex marriage, Hartline contacted Paul McGuire to ask if he could come on the air to get Christians to turn out for the city council hearing. McGuire's reply to Hartline turned out to be one of the nastiest emails that Hartline had ever received in his many years of ministry. Hartline's email to Paul McGuire read: Paul: We really need your help in getting everyone to turn out at the San Diego City Council on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007. I have just found out that the gay and lesbian center is planning to turn out a large group of their "couples" to influence the council on the vote to issue the gay marriage supporting legal brief. They want to give the appearance of "happy" married homosexual and lesbian couples before the media and city council. The following is Paul McGuire's response to Hartline who asked McGuire to announce on the air the need for people to come to the San Diego City Council to fight the same-sex marriage legal brief: James,
"I don't mind helping your cause on a very selective basis. However, San Diego is a small part of our audience, and management is not thrilled with doing small San Diego issues because the larger audience is not interested.
Also, I am not blaming you, but the last time we had you on there was a tiny turn out at the Mayor thing. This is not good for our station, because it reflects on us negatively.
Essentially, these events are tiny events ( athough they are important ), but I cannot justify to management giving time to small local events where a handful of people show up like the Mayor thing, That was not planned and it discredits our station.
A word of personal advice, you are not going to succeed at your goals until you begin to network with and build alliances with the big churches in your area. That requires diplomacy and networking. In order for you to win you are going to have to get these people on your side. In other words you are going to have to build alliances.
Also, please do not be offended but we have completely changed our caller policy which means we want new callers as much as possible who have something new to say. When you call up and essentially give the same message in slightly different forms people tune out. We want a fresh rotation of callers, and not the same callers who say basically the same thing." Paul McGuire's degrading response of calling the Christians of San Diego and their battle against same-sex marriage a "tiny" thing reveals a deceitful side to McGuire that most of his listeners will be shocked to hear about. The idea that McGuire conveys that his Christian radio station's management is not supportive of the horrific battle San Diegans are facing against the homosexual movement is simply reprehensible. Particularly, since it has been the San Diego listerners which have built up a large portion of KBRT's supporting community base. McGuire's instruction to Hartline to place his focus on "building" large numbers through "networking" smacks of Saddleback Church Rick Warren's propaganda. Sadly, the betrayal of James Hartline by Paul McGuire was not the end of the matter. It was to get much worse for Hartline. Within a few days of the McGuire email, one of Hartline's closest friends was also about to dump him as well. For the past several years, James Lambert had become one of James Hartline's closest friends. Lambert joined Hartline to form California Christian News, the media division of Hartline's growing ministry, The Hillcrest Mission. On multiple occasions Hartline had even given up writing articles on highly publicized issues because Lambert had asked to have the rights on the articles so that he could have his name attached to the headline. Here is what James Lambert's email to James Hartline read: "Is there anyway you can take me off the 'staff' section of your website. I am trying to write for some independent sites like TownHall and they like for me to write exclusively for them or their affiliates ( at AFA)."
A second email from Lambert was sent to Hartline on October 16, 2007 which read: "unsubscribe and pls take me off your website thank you."
Shortly after Lambert had written James Hartline where he stated that he could only write for the websites affiliated with AFA (American Family Association), he authored a new editorial for a local San Diego website that has no ties to AFA. The website, Southern California Christian News, featured an editorial specifically written by Lambert on Nov. 4, 2007. Sadly, Lambert had lied to his old ministry partner. James Lambert had placed more importance on getting that interview with Paul McGuire and submitting to McGuire's "Purpose Driven" betrayal than he did for doing the right thing and honoring his commitment to James Hartline. Since the unfolding of the degrading email that James Hartline received from Paul McGuire, KBRT sales manager Sarah Davis has issued a formal apologize to Hartline on behalf of the KBRT staff. Davis explained to Hartline that Paul McGuire had betrayed the station's policy and that he did not speak for KBRT when he issued his unethical email to James. It is hard for James Hartline to believe that Christians who earn incomes off of their Christianity, and claim to be representing God to the Christian community, would then turn out to be so loyal to someone like Rick Warren. There is no doubt that Rick Warren is compromising his alledged loyalty to Biblical Christianity. Warren has hosted events that feature politicians who approve of the heinous act of partial birth abortion. Warren has hosted politicians who support homosexuality and he has allowed them to speak from his pulpit. And the idea that KBRT radio personality Paul McGuire honors Rick Warren while condemning those who criticize Warren places McGuire in the lower echolons of cultural vulgarity. |

(JHReport) California Governor Arnold Schwarznegger's recent signature on California Senate Bill 777 (SB777) is one of the single greatest attacks on children in modern American history. According to World Net Daily, SB777 effectively bans the terms "mom" and "dad" as well as "husband" and "wife" from being used in California's public schools. By signing the bill, Schwarzenegger has ordered all of California's public schools to allow boys to use the girl's restrooms if they so choose. Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families, tells World Net Daily that children as young as five years-old will be mentally molested in school classrooms as a result of SB777. SB777 is a dream come true for radicalized homosexual activists and a nightmare for parents who do not want their young children to be sexually indoctrinated by teachers who are acting on behalf of their anti-family socialist partners. According to the bill, all students from K thru 12th grade will be taught that people who engage in transsexuality, anal intercourse and lesbianism are positive role models in society. SB777 then goes on to ban any discussions in the classroom where these fetish groups are viewed negatively. In other words, the fact that nearly 85% of all AIDS cases in the United States are the result of men who engage in sodomy will not be told to students because it reflects negatively on male homosexuals. There is no doubt that SB777 is one of the biggest assaults on parental rights in American history. While many will be blaming radical gay activists and Governor Schwarzenegger for the passage of SB777, they are not the only culprits in this catastrophic attack on California's parents and their children. Perhaps, the more devious villains in this attack on parental rights and family values are actually some of the loudest voices who are now crying out against SB777. Christian Conservative voters in California are about to find out that some prominent conservative leaders are actually helping pro-homosexual candidates to get elected to public office. Indeed there are wolves among the sheep! ~ Wolves Among The Sheep ~ A James Hartline Report investigation has uncovered revelations that a conservative "pro-family" group in California is leading the charge to repeal SB777 at the same time that the group has close ties to elected officials who are helping to elect pro-gay candidates to public office in the state. These revelations indicate that certain conservatives in California are covertly promoting gay-friendly candidates for public office and, in turn, helping to foster the radical redefining of what family means in the state. Using this tactic, these individuals are greatly contributing to the anti-family crisis that is wreaking havoc on California families. This conservative-created crisis allows leaders of certain pro-family groups to "come to the rescue". These pseudo-heroes then make names for themselves among churchgoers and bring in large sums of money for their "pro-family" groups. It is one of the nastiest and most deceptive games being played in California's Culture War. The conservative family group at the center of this growing scandal is Capitol Resource Institute. What you are about to read is more than just a tale of hypocrisy. It is also a revealing expose on how some "pro-family" groups are actually helping to create the current social conflict between conservatives and the homosexual movement. By constantly keeping this conflict alive, groups like Capitol Resource Institute will always have an opportunity to play the "hero" in the battle and to bring in large sums of money to fight the battles they are, in part, helping to create. Capitol Resource Institute is the leading proponent for repealing SB777. Under the direction of Karen England, the organization has presented itself as a friend to millions of conservative churchgoers in California. Is Karen England and Capitol Resource Institute really a friend to the millions of Christian Conservative voters in the Golden State? Evidence uncovered by the James Hartline Report indicates that Capitol Resource Institute may not be a friend to any Christian in California. In fact, Karen England, the self-appointed public mouthpiece for repealing SB777, is the leader of an organization with close ties to politicians who are actually helping to spread the homosexual movement. In the process of playing this damnable game of betrayal, Capitol Resource Institute is raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars each year from sympathetic pro-family donors. According to its most recently published IRS filing, Capitol Resource Institute pulled in over $364,000 during the 2005-2006 fiscal year. The really dirty deeds being done by groups like Capitol Resource Institute stems from their ability to feed off of anti-family crises like SB777. Every year it seems that an attack on California's family values occurs right around election time. Each time one of these attacks is launched, Karen England and her Capitol Resource Institute appear in the media to play " the hero come to rescue families from homosexual activists." Without a moral crisis like SB777 there would be no need for a Karen England and her Capitol Resource Institute. It is important to note that Karen England also serves as a vice-president on the board of directors of the California Republican Assembly (CRA), a group that lays claim to being the "conscience" of the state's Republican Party. Being involved with CRA means Karen England has a vested interest in the success of conservative politicians and making sure that voters turn out at the polls to support those same politicians. In recent years, the Republican Party has used crisis issues like the Mt. Soledad Cross, parental notification laws and gay marriage to motivate Republican voters to go to the polls and, indirectly, support specific candidates. Placing a repeal of SB777 on the 2008 ballot will be a major tool used by Karen England to lure voters to the polls. The dirty deed of betraying Christian voters by advisory board members of Karen England's Capitol Resource Institute is really, really dirty. Take for example the dirty deeds being done by two members of Capitol Resource Institute Advisory Board of Directors: California State Senators Tom McClintock and Mark Wyland. In recent times, both McClintock and Wyland have endorsed and promoted candidates who are either homosexual or strong advocates for the promotion of homosexuality in the political arena. Nowhere are the dirty and hypocritical deeds of McClintock and Wyland being felt more than in San Diego, California. San Diegans are currently suffering a serious assault against their families by both Democrat and Republican politicians. Just a few months ago, Republican Mayor Jerry Sanders betrayed the San Diego voters who elected him by signing a city council-approved legal brief in support of same-sex marriages. San Diego Councilman Jim Madaffer, another Republican, also dumped his previous campaign pledges in support of traditional values to join homosexual Democrats in support of the gay marriage legal brief. Added to the disasterous anti-family attacks that are being generated from the San Diego City Council is perhaps the worse assault of all: Capitol Resource Institute Advisory Boardmember Senator Tom McClintock's push to get a homosexual activist elected to the San Diego City Council in 2008. Carl DeMaio, a carpetbagger candidate for the San Diego City Council, announced to the world in an April 2007 edition of San Diego Magazine that he was involved in homosexuality. DeMaio went on to disrespect the majority of churchgoers in San Diego in that interview by saying he didn't think voters would consider the issue of his homosexuality to be a very important one. It can be assumed that DeMaio would have also supported the same-sex marriage legal brief had he already been elected to the San Diego City Council. Perhaps, the most troubling aspect to homosexual activist Carl DeMaio's candidacy: Capitol Resource Institute Advisory Boardmember Senator Tom McClintock has endorsed DeMaio for the city council seat! Carl DeMaio: as a private individual, can I live with the public scrutiny? Am I prepared to have the public shine a light on my personal life? TB: Do you have some particular issue there? Carl DeMaio: The fact that I’m gay, I suppose. But at the end of the day, I don’t think it’s very relevant when you consider all the things that are really important to voters. We have the city’s greatest financial crisis ever. We have city services being cut in our neighborhoods. Our leaders breaking the public trust by violating the law. TB: You wouldn’t be our first gay councilmember. CD: True. And even though it may be uncomfortable for me——coming out, being honest with the people——I think that’s what people want. It certainly hasn’t been relevant in the past five years, as we’ve sought to bring the city’s problems to public light, although some of the folks we were shining a light on did put pressure on us in regard to my personal life——in an effort to get us to back off. The Capitol Resource Insitute (CRI) states on its website that it has been "supporting and defending California families since 1987". Really? How does Senator Tom McClintock's endorsement of homosexual activist Carl DeMaio fit into Karen England's defense of families? How does Senator Mark Wyland's endorsement of Steve Francis who supports embryonic stem cell research and gay civil unions fit into Karen England's support of California families? If he is elected in 2008, there is no doubt that homosexual activist Carl DeMaio will be embracing such anti-family events as the San Diego Gay Pride Festival when it comes up for a vote on the San Diego City Council docket. DeMaio's current campaign endorsement list includes a number of homosexual politicians and activists: Mike German, Frank Tierney, Thomas Hebrank, Bob Lehman, and Log Cabin Republican leader Patrick Sammon. Additionally, pro-homosexual Republicans Phil Thalheimer and Tricia Hunter endorsing DeMaio demonstrates that DeMaio is prepared to push for an extremely dark future for Christian values if elected to the San Diego City Council. Senator Tom McClintock, in issuing an endorsement for homosexual activist Carl DeMaio for the San Diego City Council, is helping to propel the homosexual movement in California. And by having such advisors as Tom McClintock and Mark Wyland, there is no doubt that Karen England and her Capitol Resource Institute are nothing more than opportunists who are more interested in promoting their organization to churchgoers than actually protecting churchgoers and their families. |
